About Me

Becky Nussbaum is a New York City based Lighting Designer, born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She fell in love with lighting dance during her junior year of college. During her junior year of college, she discovered a passion for lighting dance, captivated by the artistry of shaping light with new choreography and by the collaborative process of building compelling worlds onstage.

Recent work includes being the Lighting Supervisor for Martha Graham Dance Company, and also the Resident Lighting Designer for the Conservatory of Dance at Purchase College. She holds a BFA from Purchase College in Theatre Design/Technology with a concentration in Lighting Design.

While not working, Becky can be found greeting all of the neighborhood dogs, working on a new craft (currently it's those super intricate paint-by-numbers), or bundled up rooting for her NY Islanders.
